About Jillian Bradfield a.k.a JilleyBean Books

Jillian is originally from College Park, GA. She is a graduate of Frederick Douglass High School in the City of Atlanta, Savannah State University , where she obtained a B.S. in Sociology, and Shorter University where she obtained an M.A. in Organizational Leadership. Jillian feels her unique experiences at these learning institutions helped shape her into the woman and writer she is today. Jillian credits her love for writing to past and present educators as well as her parents who always encouraged her to write with purpose. Though new to the children’s book scene, Jillian has been writing since she was 9 years old. “My goal is to let young people, girls in particular, know that I understand what they are going through. My goal is to speak to the unpopular girl, the gossip girl, those that feel invisible and every girl in between. I also want to encourage positive dialogue between girls and young women and show them communication is key when understanding one another.
